Earlier this week, the blogs I frequent had some really excellent content, so I am sharing the best of them with you. Lots of bloggers do this regularly…and I always look forward to seeing what they’re reading. Especially Joanna.
Cooking advice from Kitchn readers. I especially liked “don’t be a prisoner to a recipe.”
A story about learning to love your newborn.
This recipe for English muffin bread looks amazing. It will be baked this weekend! (and isn’t that the most hysterical blog title?!)
Aran is the purveyor of one of the best blogs around (food styling and gluten-free cooking/baking). She goes home to Basque country every August and they are almost always the best pictures she posts all year.
Limeade with sass.
I hope everyone stops complaining about the “overhyping” of Hurricane Irene. Don’t be a tool just because you got lucky.
This is a little older than last week but I just love it SO much. Can I have everything?
There’s a good chance I’ll start freelancing again in the next six months. This post was a good reminder to choose my priorities with care.
This makes me laugh. LOL, even.
We obviously need the set in the first picture.
This post nearly made me cry (and no, it’s not the pregnancy hormones). I have too much room for improvement in the build-up-social-capital skill set. I wrote a little about that last year.
This almost makes me look forward to autumn. Almost. Oh, and this, too.
There’s a bit of backlash lately against “neo” atheists. Here’s one article from the Guardian about it (my feelings about it are very well summed up by commenter “raysablade”, tenth comment down). Here’s a rebuttal of a TEDx talk that also sums things up rather nicely for me.
I so covet these shoes. Oh man.
And….since a blog post of mine wouldn’t be complete without a crappy cell phone picture, here you go:
Happy reading/clicking/interneting forevar,
