deep breath :: let it out
It feels weird and a bit nerve-wracking to be back home and not quite feeling “at home” just yet. I’ve been running into some obstacles. Thanks for indulging my scattered thoughts on this subject.
I am extremely slow to get close to people. There are members of my family that I’ve known my whole life who don’t know the first thing about me, not really. I love...

An open fan letter to Scott Franzke and Larry...
Dear boys,
I’m a 28-year-old baseball ladyfan who has never owned a TV. I rely on you, Scott and Larry, to tell me about how my favorite team is faring. I prefer your play-by-play and color commentary to any other team of announcers out there. Dare I even admit that Scott, I like your play-by-play better than Harry’s? I know, it’s blasphemy to many phans. It’s how I...

Steps and stairs are rare

I'm an aunt. Part two.
I mentioned four munchkins the other day. Here’s another. We’ll call her BB.
She has the biggest eyes. Look:
She is of the age where she likes to put things into her mouth to figure out what they are:
Pretty pretty:
She’s going to be a big sister next year. Congrats, BB!

a very wordy post about a Southeast Asian-ish...
I graduated from James Madison University with a Bachelor of Arts in Geography. My specialization was Cultural Studies, which sadly no longer exists (it’s only GIS and Environmental Studies these days). I loved my major because I had the freedom to chart my own academic course to a great extent. I had a minor in Political Science that I never finished, but it allowed me access to all the...
